Dead or Alive the techno 80's group, should start touring and I think Dead or Alive's first stop if Dead or Alive is to tour again iscubik. Dead or Alive is techno and is doing remixes currently, so if Dead or Alive is living and well, why not bring'em to CUBIK, HELLZ YEAH!!!!!!!:D :raveon:

I wasn't sure if it was a group or a just one guy. it used to be a group a long time ago.

Pete Burns and Martin Healey formed Dead or Alive together.

And the song was technically called You Spin me Round (Like a Record).

Dead or Alive is not one man, there are many memebers, and have been many memebers along the way. I doubt all the original members are still in the band existing and touring today.

I love that song.

I love the 80's. Saki plays 80-90's stuff on wednesdays. I believe I have heard You spin me round there before.

did someone say 80s?

did someone say Dead or Alive?

did someone say they're anxiously anticipating the new record coming out very soon that's a collaboration b/w Pete Burns and the Pet Shop Boys?

well, they didn't... but I'm saying it now!

So, I suppose I could make someone happy by dropping some Dead or Alive tomorrow night?

All this talk of 80s lately and stuff makes me think that John Tab and my 80s night is starting at a really good time!

And, trust me, I think if Dead or Alive were to tour... (has anyone seen Pete Burns recently... he's really said to hell with the whole androgony thing and gone full board "wanna be a woman")... I'm sure they'd play Velvet ;)

And, for that matter, I'm sure my ass would be there ;)

The famouse track is: " You Spin Me Round ( Like A Record )"

I have the remix that was out like 1-2 yours ago that everyone from feelgood to Richie Hawtin played. Tight jam if I do say so. Very techno-y the remix was.

On a side note, I still play that at Weddings all the time. I can't get away form it.

Bring 'em!

I still say their best tracks were "Brand New Lover" & "Something in My House" :)

but then... neither of those would really be good for a wedding ;)

Not techno sorry more electro.

technically Dead or Alive never played Electro either...

Synthpop like woah!

although some of the stuff on Nukleopatra (as far as I know the last album they released) was rather trancey...

but then... see john tab and I discussing synthpop vs trance several months ago...
(i.e. Synthpop tends to just be trance with brooding male vocals)

I dont care what anyone says Cubik should do a gender bender party with "dead or alive" and "army of lovers". I'd LOVE to see all the transgendered queens come out for the show. I think it would be sexah!!

I am the synthpop masta!

or at least, from what I've been told, half the local industrial scene is still mad at me for the fact that they're still hearing synthpop every week at the clubs...

(edit: that came off way more egotistical than I intended it... bottom line.. the gayer the synthpop, the happier the spiggy)

www.waterlinedrift.com -- $10

it has the bands name on the back... honestly, I don't even know if the band is any good... (they're not a synthpop band... I believe more like an ethereal keyboard driven rock band or something)... but still... the shirt was just so appropriate I had to buy it
