i dunno if yawl have ever had a problem with your CD player or other portable device not being strtong enough to properly power your larger headphones. to remedy this im gonna build one of these lil things and hopefully not blow out my headphones' drivers and or destroy my mp3 cd player :

hey, I just want to know if you have any 2M/ Microminiature training... It looks cool but I don't see why you would need to boost your headhpones so loud. I used to wear my Sony headphones hooked up to a walkman, and they were plenty loud enough as is for me and everybody else to hear!

yeah this looks like a good way to give yourself hearing loss.
i built an amp like that when i was younger - good thing to do to learn more about circuit design etc.

well my main gripe initially was how a few mp3s you might have are just a too quiet to hear well even with the volume on your mp3cd player or ipod already cranked up to 10.
i still havent built thing the yet, with my initial order i didnt have a suitable protoboard, a few months later i found one while on a visit to radioshack with a friend. Only prob is my CD player crapped out on me again, i dunno waht's with sony latley. I have all the parts in a box in my closet somewhere, maybe ill get around to it someday.
