Well, I didnt see any roaches last year, but EVERY HOTEL IN DETROIT IS RUN DOWN! Even the "Nice" Hotle we stayed in for a night was not even 3*'s I dont think.

I have a friend who is a travel agent. I would love to get a group rate. I will tlak to her and see how many it will take to get agroup rate so far FO SHUER I have, Housecat, Kuro, DNAGirl, and a few who POSSIBLY will go. I am not going to be getting a hotel that is like $150 a night b\c you DONT SPEND MUCH TIME IN YOUR ROOM! The festival is during the day (I think from like 10-10) and the after partys are all night long. Probably Hilton or Ramada or DAYs Inn Select, I'm going to stay away from ultmate roach hotels, But the sooner I know who is going for shure, the quicker I can make plans for nicer places.

Good question. I remember it taking from about 7:00 am and it was still light out when we got there. Time lapse. Id guess between 8 and 10 hrs.

I don't know if anyone posted this, but if you look at technotourist.org, you'll see the growing listings of after parties. The festival lineup is not as important as the after parties. 5/22, kevin saunderson and Twonz (who fucking brings it raw) if you c an get there early, but it looks like everyone should have something ridiculous to do saturday sunday and monday. If there are Tronic parties, they are usually my favorite parties (last year, User-live, Gene Lefosse, Pjay and Michelle the Punisher (who's got the charisma of leukemia, but puts on a sick show).

Make sure when you go, you pace yourselves cuz things get a little out of hand. Keep your cars at your hotels, because driving them to after parties will get your car stolen most likely. Cabs are very cheap, do as much as you can to support the dying city.

You wanna make some cool detroit friends, get on the detroitluv.com, and the tronic message boards. don't bring your glowsticks, and tell everyone I said hi! I wish i could visit, but it would be retarded of me to fly there.

Other than that, last year, I stayed at a hotel called The Pontraine (or something like that(, definitely the best place to stay at for easy accesibility.

Dave, Kier One is doing some art stuff there (his last Detroit trip as a single man, ladies) and I saw Paul Daily on one of the after party listings, so have fun and somebody send me pics and souveniers.

This is seriously the best 5 days in the states for techno, use it and abuse it. Scrounge up all your money and go. Id' go, but I'm spoiled here :P
