But yeah, I'd take Namistai over all of them -- and that's a PVD and BT production.

His Global CD was awesome, I loved the DVD that was included in it, good deal , and the music video remixes were awesome too. Animation looked freaky but the sound track sounds great also.

tell me why
On an aside... in the closing moments of his set at Ultra 6, I noticed a girl attempting to take a picture of herself with the background of the amphitheatre. I asked her if she wanted me to take it for her and she declined, then asked me who it was that was spinning. I kinda paused for a sec and said..."PVD". She goes, "who is that ?". I said Paul Van Dyke, and she gives me this puzzled look as though I was crazy. Then she fuckin asked me if I knew how to get to space. I wanted to punch her.

BY FAR the best PVD Track ever is this:
Faithless - Bring My Family Back (Paul van Dyk Remix).
Its kind of rare, I HIGHLY Recommend you find this tune on
mp3. Its SO EMOTIONAL then gets so evil and hard.
The song is SPECIAL.
My 2nd fav is the PVD's Vandit Remix of Tell Me Why.

gotta say that PVD has got to be one of my absolute favorite DJ's of all time, ever.... We Are Alive is probably the #1 song to me, but I gotta say the Nothing But You remix (last track of Reflections) is absolutely fantastic...
if anyone finds the mp3 of that faithless song, let me know, methinks I'll have to hear it

while time of our lives is fun to hear live (a few times) I would not consider it anywhere near Paul's best production work. It borders on cheesy. Reflections as a whole was a big disappointment, IMHO. It doesn't come close to Out There & Back and previous studio work.
Just my $.02

time of our lives is ok but it's far from his best. The best track off Reflections is Connected, which may not be saying much but to me it sounds alot like his older work which I most certainly enjoy.

well, personally I believe that his CD Reflections is just another one of his best chill down tracks, you know?
PVD has it a long way, and he still continues to surprise me with every new track he makes, I've had my best times listening to most of his CD's. All I gotta say is that he's got the best talent for Trance music that I've heard of in years .

I think Paul did more of a rework of Full Contact, his kick and not much else. I've heard it in a set or two.... awesome piano in it. Yeah, I agree about Reflections. I expected a lot more, and was overall disappointed. Out there and Back is such an amazing album and Reflections just didn't do much for me. The 2xLP release of Reflections should be nice though, with many remixes ... check out http://www.paulvandyk.de/low/discography.asp?id=964
I do like kaleidoscope and look forward to getting the full length version.

Nice, I didn't know he was releasing a special editon Reflections cd. Have you heard the Zurdo soundtrack? So good! A lot of really great productions

Yeah, I got the Zurdo soundtrack... its nice and kinda different. I know there is a Japanese edition of Reflections but the second cd has just the normal remixes from the 12" singles... ie marco v and starecase remixes of connected etc. The Reflections remix 2xLP is, as of right now, only going to be released on 12" and will contain all new remixes/reworks by paul himself. I'm not sure if it is going to see a cd release, but the columbia ep did, so who knows.

I think the second sun track is called the spell. He played it at space WMC and blew the fookin roof off that joint on the build up. the vocals are wicked too. He has had this track in his quivver for over a year now and will be releasing it on vandit this year

PvD remixed the Spell a while ago though. I can't remember if the one he dropped at Space was a new mix of it - most likely.
I remember him closing with a mix of it at Exit when I saw him in June of '02. I love how he pitches the vocals on it! Very nice!

For me its either For an Angel or How much can you take? The second song is an old school trance song, and was on one of my old Trance CD's from those classic German ZYX Music CDs. That was when Paul van Dyk and Cosmic Baby were going under name The Visions of Shiva.
