Actually Steve lawler and Lee Burridge wouldnt be bad either, phat main room sets. Put DJ Quicksilver in the front room, instead of third rail. That would rock:raveon:

I'm gonna have to go with "none of the above" on this one as well. My 5 would have to be....
A. HYPE!!
B. Boy George
C. Bring Friction & Spice back together for an Old School tag-team (I know that's not gonna happen, but one can dream)
D. Humpty Vission
E. GARAGE GARAGE GARAGE!!!!

Also, just to put it out there.... Sonar just had Lee Burridge 2 saturdays ago and if I remember correctly, Steve Lawler not to long ago. Lonnie does an incredible job of bringin' out lesser seen but world renowned headliners... ADAM F and PENDELUM over the next 2 wednesday's for all you DnB heads.

I don't think Boy George is touring any more. I'm pretty sure he's busy with his broadway production (no matter how much it bombed) Taboo.

Yeah I know that, but it doesn't mean I wouldn't want to see him again :) He ROCKED THE FUCKING HOUSE at Odyssey. Had the entire Armory jumpin' during his entire set, didn't see any other Dj there do that....... but that seems so long ago now :(

vasquez...i wonder why he's even on the list...i thought his mixing was horrible when i was dragged to see him in nyc once...never again. lawler's awesome, but i chose deep dish for their record selection, maybe its a little too mainstreaming, but lawler's albums can be a little nonchalant at times...burridge in third, and only because i have never seen quicksilver live...thats my piece

those are some lame choices. i've only heard of 2 out of the 5 up there. i'm starting a campaign to bring MY favorites to buzz - timo, pvd, tcm, and the ever-dc-area-evading pete tong......!

However, seeing as how I'm limited to the choices presented up there, I'd go with Deep Dish and Lawler. Preferably on consecutive weekends.

Luna-C is, in my opinion, the best producer in hardcore right now. he writes breakbeat hardcore tracks, so not stompy, 4 to the floor cheesey tunes that most people associate with ahrdcore. it's closer to jungle than it is happy hardcore.

if you know the old hardcore anthem "sesame's treet" by The Smart E'sj--Luna C was one of the Smart E's who produced that tune.

darkenetiks
2004-03-25, 10:28 AM
oh...that explains why i know nothing about him.

on a hardcore note... i was in brooklyn over the weekend @ a friend's apt & met Lenny D...he was giving an interview about how he started his label....what the defining moment of electronic hardcore in his life was for him...etc.

pretty neat-o hearing him talk about richie hawtin & the like...and how he put out records from people like that b4 they were big.
