"You make this allll go away, You make this allll go away,
I'm down to just one thing, and I'm starting to scare myself
You make this allll go away, You make this allll go away,
I just want something... I just want something
I can never have.
I heard the Breaks rmx of this yesterday and I really want this rekkid.... what's the name, who did it...and most importantly, where can I get it?

the song is called "something i can never have" and it's actually pretty much an accapella on the album, so there's a good chance that whatever dj you saw/heard playing is was actually playing two records.... but i can't say for sure that there isn't a remix out.
personally i would suggest just getting the NIN album "Pretty Hate Machine" and fucking with it yourself. check out hot topic, they usually have at least one copy of that album.

well, I kind of thought the same thing... but seriously the mix was so tight, it had to be a production. Or the dj was just that good.

but I doubt it was the dj cause the rest of the mix wasn't as good as that one part... or track

i dunno.... i do a mix like that quite frequently, and i'm not that good of a dj, but that particular mix is usually pretty tight. just cuz i do it a lot.

Yeah... I know ya'll are gonna slap me for askin', but that beat that its laid over, what's the original track that that came from?? I know it was HUGE!!! but I my addiction to it didn't start till long after hearing EVERYTIME I ventured out to Nations.
in case you need to listen (http://www.dancerecords.com/makeram.php?id=17454), its the second half of the sample.

sorry to revive but the version of this track I'm trying to find... NIN's "Something I can never have" is far different than the plump dj's mash-up, which i have heard. When i heard the version i'm looking for it it was on an Dj Elemental CD, and the guy said he would let me see the liner notes and burn it but he didnt that day, and then the cd was stolen from him. And it wasnt that Plump Mash Up, this was far better. A much more aggressive and high energy mix, where as the mash up sorta bounces along but isnt very aggressive.
I dont know if the Dj Elemental is local to the north or south Colorado area, or it's spelled some funky way or what but I cant find that guy or his CD's either.
I would buy the nin vinyl and then mix soemthing up and etc. but it'd be nice to have the one that really caught my ear and made me go whoa...
any of this ring a bell with anyone?

I cant stand that track.
The original has been one of my favorite tracks ever since Pretty Hate Machine was released.
It is, In my opinion, the sweetest song ever written.
Anyone who remixes it will never ever be able to do justice to the original.
