This is my problem:
All of the girls that sweat me are crazy.
All of the girls that respect me aren't interested in dating anyone.
All of the girls that I don't respect are interested in dating me.
All of the girls that are looking for men want to be my friend.
All of the girls that I want to date...want to be my friend.
All of the girls that I want to hook up with end up hooking up with my friends.
All of the girls that I date that have tattoos end up having sex with mimes.
All of the girls that I break up with try to make my life miserable. They fail, but every girl I try to meet/date/talk to for the next six months succeeds in that same task.
On the upside:
I seem to play really well with the lonely Americanized Asian-born women with no friends and a few unresolved mental problems. And women that have sex with mimes.
[/endpityparty]
Why does it have to be Tuesday, anyway? There isn't even a decent party I could go to and get completely fucking plastered. :chug

Yeah, I did that for a while, but it got in the way of finding someone that I really wanted to be with.
So now I'm not dating either.
(Yeah, I know, there's nothing wrong with being single. Except for the fact that it's a regular event in my life and I don't really need to "find myself" any more than I already have. I know what I want, dammit.)

Dude, there's a support group for people with these kinds of problems....it's called EVERY MALE and they meet at THE STRIP BAR...where the women will be any damn thing you want them to be.
No seriously....I feel for you man, been there for a long long time (except for the mime part...that's just creepy). But, it's getting better, the crazies are less crazy, but with that same great taste.
Did I write this? Are you in my head? Wierd.

Werrrrrrd. Don't judge a book by its cover though. I've realized that some of the most innocent(you would think) girls are completely trashy.
Guys are no better either so it goes both ways.

Why is it that people who date alot need to "find themself" and people who don't date much are more mentally intact?
I mean... are people that dense as to lose themself in the first place?

I think that people mean they need to take a break from dating to "find themselves". It's easy for a lot of people to get lost in a relationship...they stop doing the things they used to like and stop hanging with the peeps they used to like to spend time with....they lose themselves. (This is why when you see your boy that you haven't seen in a long long time in a club and you ask what's up...often they come back with "Well, I just got out of a relationship". )
That is why you hear people who date a lot say this. People who don't date don't have someone to get lost in.

Ooh, fun -- another opportunity for a bullet-point list:
Attractive -- To me, not necessarily a glamour queen or anything. Generally speaking, a girl roughly my height (or shorter) who takes care of herself. Good hygiene, in decent shape, no severe deformities. A well-proportioned face is good.
Intelligent -- I hate when I'm having a conversation and the girl says "huh?" all the time.
Nice -- Generally friendly, not a bitch, not an attention-hound.
Sweet -- Affectionate, maybe a tad girlish. (God forbid!)
Self-esteem -- I am not your psychologist, or your father, or the cure to what ails you. (The girls I date seem to have problems in this category.)
Cultured -- An appreciation for the finer things in life...art, food, music, movies, whatever.
Creative -- In any way. Bring something to the table.
That's a general outline of how I roll... I'm not looking for someone who blows me away on any one of those (except maybe attractiveness :D), just someone who can hit the minimums on each.
And it's not like I'm needing to hook up with someone or anything...I've just had a few discrete experiences in the last month (and one earlier today) that kinda set me off about my dating life.

damn man.......we are having the same female experiences in different places (well, except for the mime thing...yikes). But should you meet the girl you're looking for, lemme know if she has any twin sisters or friends relatively comparable to her. ooh...except i'm 6'8, so i need her equivalent in characteristics, but just a bit taller.
and for any females who read this, please disregard the biotch comment in my signature. that comes from two years of frustration of spinning college house parties where all they wanna hear is hip hop...even though it was played the entire evening before i got on the decks.

punkasschikadee
2004-01-07, 02:40 AM
i shouldnt give advice... because i guess my personality isnt too pressed on finding myself in a relationship or with anybody at all times (actually very in-frequently)
people always say that your not gonna find love if you go out looking for it... but say you DO go looking for it and you find that other person looking for the same thing :gotme:
the only problems i see with that are that
1. basically noone ever wants what they can have
2. if your both lookin for love, you might just settle for eachother.
both are bad but true.
i say do whatever tha hell you feel like doing and hope it works out. If not, you'll have another story to tell.

Oh....totally on track...
I don't look.....well...I look, but not for a relationship. I look for a girl thats attractive (at least to me) and who has a (friggin suprise) personality. The last is almost more important than the first. Once I get past those two stumbling blocks (which knocks out about 80% of people) then I have to find the 1% of the 20% that's left that finds the same in me.
Some odds.
But fuck it. Sooner or later there will be the one, and that's that. Otherwise I'll be old, lonely and hitting on high school chicks who don't know any better.

But occasionally a little less furry pussy would be appreciated.
Oh...BAD fucking joke.
<argh>
I want love....but I'm resigned to the fact that unless I grow about 4 inches, get some more hair and stuf myself out, I'm at the whim of a girl who finds me attractive and not really the other way around.
It's not that I'm not confident. I look damn fucking good. But in the end, it's the girl that chooses the boy. Any girl that says otherwise is working on planet "I want the cute boy who is a player and will diss me in a moment for the next piece of ass". Yeah that's a generalization. But a damn accurate one IMO.

Society is such a big tool I don't even know where to start. But picking up girls at Cübik ain't exactly the place to find those alt-society types that would be right for me.
I mean...say it ain't so. I've met a ton of absolute sweethearts at Cübik that I'd donate a non-essential organ to go out on a date with. But, they'z already all taken, not-interested, or otherwise out of reach. In the meantime, the empty headed ones are there in legions.
So...where does one go to meet an intelligent girl, self-assuranced, with plans for the future, that wants a partner as well as a BF. Isn't looking to take things fast, (hell doesn't even want to take them slow for that matter) and doesn't give a rat's ass about my whole sordid past. (and believe me...it's friggin sordid, but not in a real bad way.)
Half the reason I haven't even been forward is having to explain how I got to D.C. and what I'm planning to do once I'm here and where I'm going. And then there is the age gap.
Gun-shy? Hell yeah.
