Just wondering what constitutes a "special event" and why such an increase in admission?

Open Bar is such a rip off... and I hate paying to see world class talent... why go to club recently voted best new night club by URB?

There is an increase in admission when there is an increase in how much the DJs cost. "Big name" DJs charge more so admission has to be raised for that night.

yeah, why go see MULTIPLE dj's spin hour-plus sets when you could go to Best Buy and get ONE cd for the same price.

I'm hoping it's sarcasm or this is sad. I think it's kinda funny really... people will seriously bitch about ANYTHING even free alcohol!!!!

Taishou was obviously being VERY sarcastic. Innuendo was just being an ass.

housecat

http://www.buzzlife.com/#GOLDIE
$10 for Buzz members [until 12 midnight]
$15 General admission before 11 p.m.
$20 General admission after 11 p.m.
That is not bad at ALL. I used to pay $25 for parties all the time now THAT sucked.

It does suck to pay more for "special events" and certain djs, but would you rather pay next-to-nothing to see an amateur or a bit more for a bangin show?

It should be a one time thing...just a suggestion, but if u want to fight over it....cool!
spiggums
2004-01-06, 02:12 PM
they could have never offered open bar at all and no one would have been crying about it... but instead it's the whole "give people an inch and they'll take a mile" concept in full effect...
honestly, when you look at all that buzzlife offers with Cubik... particularly for those of us on the buzzboard... it's got to be the most disrespectful thing you can ask for!
I fail to see how someone can look at a quality night of DJs... $10 entrance fee... and an hour of free alcohol and think that there needs to be another hour of open bar...
housecat
2004-01-06, 02:16 PM
BTW, wouldn't this be Nation's call not Buzzlife's as the bar money goes to the club not the promoter?
I'm just asking totally not sure.
zartan
2004-01-06, 02:18 PM
i'm sure its negotiated jointly. gets people in earlier so they drink more anyway.
bottom line is its a stupid thing to ask for because its not going to happen.
spiggums
2004-01-06, 02:19 PM
typically the promoter works that out with the club... and either the club feels its worth the loss... or they look for more in terms of cash from the promoter... how Nation/Buzzlife operates, one can only speculate

I'm still gonna buy my drinks so stop crying....IT WAS A SUGGESTION!!!!!!!!! Hey I dont thing they're ever gonna do it...does that make you happy...i pay my $10...i buy my drinks...i wasnt gonna complain for another hour...hey if they take it away I'm NOT GONNA CRY..in fact they'll get more of my money...u gotta a problem with me making a suggestion take ti up with me in person then...come see about me and my WHOLE BAG OF SUGGESTIONS..i'll bet u'll love em....Like this one about how I think spiggums should eat a dick...how u like that one partner...u wanna be a lil righteous trooper go fight in Iraq or something, meanwhile I;ll be here making more shitty ass suggestions to piss you off!!!!!!!!
spiggums
2004-01-06, 02:25 PM
right... I'm a "righteous trooper" cause I expect people to have a little fucking respect...
besides, its a "suggestion" that's constantly made on this board and people need to grasp that it's an insult to what is offered at Cubik and not a constructive suggestion...
LexxLuther
2004-01-06, 02:31 PM
Constructive Suggestions hmmmmm......I got some a those, but phuck tellin u about em....and yeah I got "fuckin" respect, u wanna jail me for my suggestion...cool I aint goin nowhere mr trooper!

This thread has nothing to do with open bar......as far as I'm concerned they don't need to serve liquor at all.
So, back to my original question regarding "special events"......anyone have any answers for me?

The quesion was answered. Some DJs and acts charge much more than others which will cause the price to increase $5.

Open bar should last all night and should include grey goose. Entrance should always be free, greedy assholes. The buzzboard sucks and they censor everyone, douchebags. Nation should let me pee wherever I want cause I paid er got in free, but that doesn't matter, because I have a right to! The DJ's should suck me off and do my dishes after their set because I was gracious enough to listen to it. Also Dina is a midgit and she can't play pool.
