Except for my boyfriend, my cats, and that nubile 20-something who keeps on sending me porno messages (right on!).  This scene's music is still great, but the people aren't who I'd usually associate with.  It's a shame.  There was a time when nearly everyone on any given rave bulletin board or list was pretty friendly.  I'm not throwing a pity party.  Just stating my general digust & repulsion.  With Urb naming Cubik best club and Ultraworld best one-off, this scene is far better than most people I know deserve.

actually, the buzzboard has been quite kind. i can take some shit.  i was just venting.  there are some horrible people amongst us.  i can be sarcastic.  but someone in another group said that i was so ugly that even though i was *paying* for sex, my boyfriend still wasn't fucking me.  this is someone i've never attacked, but has recently had it in for me.  I've attempted to be PLUR'ly, but i'm off of my medication, and that was just the lowest blow ever. 

i told my boyfriend and he's absolutely LIVID.  he said that we should just forget about all of these people.  right now, i really don't even want to go to any fucking club, because these fucked up people have fucked up standards of attractiveness.  

this person is an aspiring DJ.  i told him that ALL gloves were off as of today.  it's not important *who* this person is.  but as spikey as I can get, i'd never say anything like that.

No doubt!  But good people are fewer and farther between.  Plus there appears to be a lot more unprovoked hostility.  Like what?  A hint my friend: the boyfriend of the hawker of the sex wares is my verbal attacker.  And this was after i posted her link to many women's lists, etc.  I don't even know why the fuck I bother to be decent.  Fuck them all. 

I loathe people "talking about the old days", but this shit didn't happen as often back then, if at all.

Oh well, enuf venting.  That candy picture made my day. It doesn't take much to keep me happy.

About 90% of the people I hung out with last year at Buzz don't show up for Cubik. It is weird losing contact with people that you hung out with every Friday and Saturday. I have come to Cubik several times since it's reopening and I can see many differences in it from last year. For the better?? I don't know, I miss my friends because they were what made Buzz so much fun. I am happy that it is back and look forward to making new friends. The vibe in Nations has been the best for any club I have been to, for example the D.C. Tunnel and Insomnia and all the clubs here in Richmond (they really suck).

The biggest difference of all is that I am not going up there with my husband any more. He at that time was my best friend, we just broke up recently, and it feels weird going to Nations without him because that was our place to go every freakin' Friday last year. I still love the club and I am so happy that they reopened it, but I have mixed emotions about it.
