To me...Aphrodite is more of a "fun" dnb dj, if anyone gets that. Like he gets his crowds hype and hes a good dj....but hes more for the peeps that dont know 2 fucks about dnb. Like if a househead got lost and wandered in the dnb room....they would like aphrodite and pick up his cd the next day, ya know?? But hey thats just my opinion....

Now as for John....last time he was at Cubik i wasnt too impressed...he was a lil off with some of his mixes..but hey..nobodys perfect!

aside from liking him as a DJ (cuz to like a DJ...u gotta like their selection too)...i completely agree about the aphro thing.

as for SENOR JUAN B...u thought his mixes were off last time??? i dunno, i was there (and not drunk! :gasp:) and remember some REALLY sick mixes...plus he was playing more tunes along the lines of what i'd like to hear...

:spliff: I dont know about some Jon B, cause the last time he spun, he was alright, but was spinning that mellow, trancey Drum n bass. But Aphrodite in the other hand, has to have some new shit, I just want to hear. I like his Rap/hip hop 'ish drum n bass tracks. But it just seems that Aphrodite has that one similar (baseline i think) sound in every track.

I would love to hear Aphrodite spin some of his old old stuff. It was just plain good back in the day, and I know that it gave rise to some of my dj friends who would spin almost nothing besides Aphrodite tunes. I'm sure he's got some good new stuff, but the older tracks are where it's at.

A lot of his electro stuff is actually really good though. I think Celebrity is the JAM! I am glad to see someone finaly step outside the box and do something different with D&B. It has become way to generic these days. Must say I hope he goes more electro than trance though. I'm there will bells on!
