View Full Version : Gorgeous Black A/X Dress for Sale!
Hey everyone-
I have a random thing to sell. My mom got me a gorgeous dress from Armani Exchange for the holidays. However, I am not so fond of it...I think it looks bad on me. Soooo, I am willing to part with it. I would LIKE to sell it to someone who I (sorta) know, as I think the dress is gorgeous. It was originally $138--and is still selling for that at the store. Below is a link to the dress on the A/X site. It is a size medium, and would be PERFECT for New Year's. I am willing to part with it for much less than what we paid for it. So PM Me if you are interested.

Does this dress fit you like in the picture. . . . .
eh, that is the problem. i am 6'1" tall, and it is a little too short for my comfort. so i would prefer someone get enjoyment out of wearing it, as i never will if i don't feel comfortable.

That's really cute Jessie. I *just* went and bought a dress for my friends wedding this Friday though. Can you take it back to A/X still?

c'mon, somebody i know buy it!!! :D
that is the issue. i don't have the receipt. my mama tossed it in the trash. i was thinking about store credit, but i was so not thrilled with other stuff in the store...but that may be the best way to go. also, it was on my mama's credit card, so i am not sure if they will be persnickity about it. there is a A/X in Pentagon City, no?

I'm with you there, Kristen. I have a black cocktail dress in my closet that I've had for a year and never worn. I just never go anywhere that would warrent it.

i would be so incredibly flattered if a girl wore a dress like that even just on a night out with me.... maybe you ladies should take a hint?

It's all about dressing appropriately for the occasion. If you're doing something like a movie or a walk in the park, that isn't exactly practical.

*hankering*
So, I guess the question becomes, who is taking me out to a black dress kind of function.
*sigh*
Check your PMs girlie.
I'm so weak.

question:
what does size 4 or size 5 for a giril translate to? small or medium?

You know, I knew it was only a matter of time before Mitaic tried to buy this dress...

I'm a size 3/4 and am usually comfortable in a small.

seriously, isn't there a translation table for sizes or something? it's hard to buy clothing gifts for women...

Definitely small, or possibly x-small in some brands. I'm 10-12 and I usually wear a medium.

ahhh you have hit upon one of the most fucked up things women have to deal with.... designers don't have standards and when they do standards change from designer to designer. sizes change overall too... i read something somewhere about designers making sizes larger while labeling them the same to make overweight people feel better about themselves.
it's absurd.

just remember that models wear 00 sizes... that'll help a lot. lol.
Kristen, I PMed you!!!
A size 4-5 would probably, in most designer's sizes, be a small.

i am still yet to try it out. im sure i would get slapped a few times or by every girl i said it to. seriously though maybe my boyish good looks and charm would outweigh the "dickheadness" of that comment. ill keep u informed.
no man, the looks are strong, but not strong enough to ignore the "dickheadedness" of the comment.
i'm tellin' ya, stick with: "nice shoes, wanna fuck?"

We also missed Midsummer's Night Dream at the Shakespeare Theatre.
I think our options are Momma Mia at the National Theatre, Four (In this Studio Theatre Secondstage production, a young, multi-ethnic cast presents a picture of sex in contemporary America.)at the Studio Theatre, or Stomp at the Warner Theatre.

I've seen Momma Mia. It was good, but I'm not really into spending that much money for a show I've already seen. I'm not sure if Four or Stomp are really in line with our "little black dress" theme, but they would both be cool to see.
