Ok, this is based on a thread I was in on LiveJournal, but what do you think of this:
- A friend of mine was trying to figure out what to get his girlfriend for Xmas
- I suggest jewlery
- Another friend says "i'm gonna have to second that one. just make sure you know what she likes- or go to the 'sure thing' "
So I put forth this idea: Someone should put together a website called "Gifts to get some" that will have a large database of gifts guys can buy that are "sure things"... I think it would be pretty easy to do... first you set up a database of products. Then you have people fill out a demographics survey and then have them rate what they bought and how far it got them. So you could do a search like an 18-24 year old white man in juno alaska could expect to say get head for a MP3 player.

christmas lingerie works too. (but you have to buy non-seasonal lingerie as well).
that way, you've:
1. gotten HER something
2. gotten YOU something
3. guaranteed she will wear it within the next 24 hours
4. guaranteed she will be showing you that she is wearing it.
5. guaranteed she will be showing you the OTHER lingerie soon.

i dont know, jewelry is cool and all, but if you whip out two plane tickets to aruba or miami or some shit, that'll be way more fun. Because that way, we can go shopping with you on the vacation and then we can pick out the jewelry, too :)

Getting lingere for a girl for Xmas is a horrid idea.....it shows that you didn't spend any time thinking about what SHE wants...only what YOU want (that is unless of course she's freaky....in which case its totally OK)
