I wish I could have been there but I had to work. Something about people shopping the day after thanksgiving, what's up with that. So if I was able to be there without being fired from my job, then I would have been. That means you guys are going to have to fill me in. How was it?

Most definitely an amazing night at CuBIK!!! Steve Smooth was a great prelude to BBB's set. Listened to BBB on the way to Nation last night and the great sounds continued right when I walked in the door and heard John Tab's awesome set. Success has not spoiled Chicago boys Steve S. and BBB--I have to say they are some of the nicest performers I have ever met. My favorite part of the night was when at the end of BBB's set he turned up missing--even security was asking us photographers if we saw him. I later heard he wandered alone to sign autographs and meet fans by the cd table in the front room. He later came back to the VIP and hooked up with Steve to meet more fans, pose for pictures and sign autographs for another hour. Watching him up close in the brief time I was in the dj booth to photograph him BBB is such an amazing performer--from the beginning to the end of his set he is continually spinning and switching records--every sound you hear is him live doing what he does best. I just tried to stay out of his way and leave the genius at work. He is truly amazing--no other way to describe him!!
My pictures will be posted soon....

Awesome nite, BBB tore it up better this time round, i saw him during the summer at the tunnel he rocked there, but at nation, it was indescribable, though there was literally little room to dance and I was getting rather annoyed with being hit and smacked all the time ARGH! But yeah just to recap, BBB rocks my world!!!!!

BBB was awesome but I have to give props to Illusion for following a headliner with such an intense set. That mix he did at the beginning with "Don't call me baby" was awesome.

Friday night was one of the best nights I have EVER had at Nations....and I've gone a lot so......for me to say it was one of the best nights really does mean something :raveon:
BBB was awesome, as expected. I danced non-stop and had a blast. I was really feeling the music. I can't rememer the last time I danced so much....for some reason for several months I just couldn't get myself to dance at parties. It's amazing what good house music does to me though ;)
And just when I thought I couldn't dance anymore, DJ ILLusion came on and my god man.......you are my new favorite DJ......SERIOUSLY!!!!!!! :raveon: You tore shit up. I figured after BBB I'd just walk around and socialize cause I'd be done with dancing but no way was I able to stand still during your set :raveon: I ended up straining/pulling muscles in BOTH my calves (in fact they are still killing me) but it was WELL WORTH IT. I was extremely impressed with your entire set!!! You rock :raveon:
I was loving the fact that the ENTIRE night of music in the main room was just perfect for my tastes. Perfect.
Oh yeah and those of you who danced on the stage during BBB were awesome. When I heard there would be a live dance act during the set I figured it was a group Buzzlife hired to perform or whatever. But then I realized everyone on that stage were people I've seen at Buzz/Cubik and who I've always had to stop and watch for a bit cause you guys are all awesome dancers.
It's gonna take A LOT to top my evening on Friday at Cubik. hehe

WHERE WAS I when he spun "Don't call me Baby"!?!!? That is one of my favorite tracks. He was mixing in the vocals with another track (track name anybody?) . Vocals sounded a little sped up so I think it was a live mix but it could've been a track (i'm not a professional dj so i wouldn't know). At either rate it sounded tight as shit.

fri was ok, def not one of my best buzz nights ever though. BBB was good and everythng, i think he was lacking though....maybe just cause i had such high expectations.
JT let me down a bit too. i know he's waaaayyy better than he was on fri night. what was up with him spinning "ready or not"?? sure it's a hott track, but he usually spins stuff a lot newer and more original than that
but good overall :raveon:

I don't think I will get sick of this CD. I've been listening to it non-stop since Friday! :raveon: Very good track selection. It has a lot of the tracks BBB spun that night...don't know if that was planned or just a coincidence but either way I LOVE IT!!!

There are alot of the same tracks. His opening track he played is on my CD called Amazing. I LOVE that track. I was definitly happy to hear him drop it. It's not on his CD though. I gues I have been doing a good job of keeping up on the hot sh*t. Its such a compliment when you pick up a track right when its released and then you hear a big headliner ( that plays your style ) play that same track. Means I am doing my job to try and stay on top of the game. Makes you feel all warm in side.
