actually I came across a web site once that detailed the history of the Mcdonald land characters. Grimmace once actually had 6 arms! and was evil. He he would use all those arms to steal milkshakes and then drink them. There was some other strangeness but I can't remember. mabye my google-fu will come through and I can post a link.

They also got some crap from Seals and Croft because they claimed that the Mcdonald land characters resembled their intelectual property, this was when grimmace assumed the form he has today. Other characters were gotten rid of completely. Another reason for the change was that he just scared childern, he was pretty nefarious.
