Love- Definition Please?

I am wondering what the definition of love is. I am told that my definition differs from others. I am also told that I am underdeveloped as far as love is concerned. I am not talking about family/ best friend love. I need the definition of "the good stuff". Please buzz public- Help a sista out!

Its 5am and I am wired as hell. I think I'll give it a shot. UNfotunately my answer is going to be extremely ambiguous.

First off, as you seem to well know there are many different kinds of loves. But the one/ones i think you are aiming at is the kind of love that you feel for jsut one person at a time (usually).

If I were to say that i truly did love an individual, it would mean to me that that one person means so much to me that I would do anything for them, no matter what. Just being with that person would make me happy and I would go to the end of the earth to do anything that I could for them. I think that this connection can really only exist with one person at any given time. It is a situation where you give yourself comepletely to another person without worries. And open yourself up so that person knows who you are inside and out. Along with this sense of belonging goes the physical aspect as well. I think that goes without saying.

Without the physical attraction and relationship it is more of a soul mate situation (which can also be love) but withoout physical attraction for one reason or another.

The number of people that are close enough to you to love should be few indeed if they are that special to you. And there should only be one person at any time that you are truly in love with and give yourself to entirely.

It's very possible. What if two people love each other, but one of them stops loving? What if two people each have a different definition of love, and one falls first? What if one person isn't really mature enough to actually love someone else?

I'd say that if after 3 years you're not both in love with each other, something's wrong. In my opinion, either the person not in love should really reconsider their feelings, reconsider their thoughts, or reconsider the relationship.

Love...there are 3 types:
Liver(disposal)- lustful love..only loving one foolishly for a sexual purpose
Head- intellectual affair...loving one for their mind..not their body
Heart- love can be blind to faults of other person..since the heart does not posess eyes to see. But, then emotion comes into place+reasoning of mind and for more creative sensitive types this is most awesome type of love...but it really hurts to have your heart broken.
When I fall in love I hope it is as intense as my last relationship but greater..for years I communicated with this guy in club w/o words by body movements... dancing, dance offs and eye glares..then after 2 years of doing this we finally met..the connection was atomic..unfortunately, it ended after 10 months..but not badly. I just wish to have that kind of feeling again but right now I enjoy being single..although sometimes I miss being in love.

On a serious note though... I don't associate thinking with jealousy at all. Thinking is good, if you're trying to better yourself. I agree though, if you don't trust the other person, there's no way you can really love or respect them, hands down.

And drinking? Shiiiiiiiit.... I drink for fun, and only fun. If I'm down, I don't drink. There's an entire subconscious association issue involved that I don't want a part in.

as we (humans) became self aware, we started seeking out others similar to ourselves.

2 people may recieve the same stimuli, but they are processed much differently. When you have a connection with someone (soul mate), the closeness and comfort you recieve from that person stems from the others ability to percieve things in a similar fashion to you.
