i hate glow

i had to wait in line for about 20 minutes while glow people did pat downs for the tiesto show. all because those HUSSIES had huge purses full of shit! girls need to learn to bring ID, $, "things" and themselves. too much bullshit! i guess that's just one of many reasons why glow sucks for all intents and purposes.

the club itself doesnt suck...its a pretty decent venue. I just dont think its run properly and the whole lil VIP room is nothing but asians. It just the crowd it brings in is the problem...but their line ups havent been that bad recently..so who knows...

pretty much -- well, people just need to think a bit more rationally. you really don't need anything except for an ID, money/credit card and maybe lip balm. the one time i brought a purse into a club, it had these three things and maybe two other items, and it didn't have a million pockets.

One time I was promoting outside Insomnia and there were a bunch of people waiting outside for some reason- anyway, someone walked left the club and as the door was closing, a syringe- honest to God- a syringe rolled out into a crack on the sidewalk.

One guy was like, "Did anybody else just see that?"

It was crazy. That place is so sketchy.

But I've never been there for Glow... and if Cubik never brings Paul Van Dyk or Tiesto, I probably will eventually have to.

I disagree. The club itself sucks too. The soundsystem is ear-bleedingly horrible. Plus, unless you're VIP, you can't sit down anywhere. Not good at all.

drat, and I was planning on headin to glow this weekend to check it out...heard it was a "high energy dance club" I also had heard that it did have good lights and sound though? lights sound and a floor to dance on is muy importante, but if its really crowded...humm, at least there I will be going with some cool people.
as far as the tunnel, they were fixin it up to be all purdy, kicked dc skills out for some other production company, but I think it flopped, Ive never heard of anyone going to it, and I dont think I have gotten any fliers for it since starscape.

i definitely think that's the biggest factor ruining the vibe. with the second being the assholes that work there. i don't know any of them personally, and i'm sorry if i'm offending people, but they've treated me like shit every time i've been there. buzz has never ever treated me poorly.

well i think i talked about this in the last glow sucks thread, but it still makes me mad so ill tell it again.


me and two of my friends had never been to glow (this was like sometime last year) so we werent aware of the fact that the dress code required the guys to dress like fags and the girls to dress like sluts. but anyway, we walk up and get in line, and notice everyones strange attire, but we're like whatever (we were of course wearing big pants and sweatshirts n schtuff). and btw this was a huge big deal to me because it was george acosta's cd release party, one of the first dc events he spun at since relocating from fl, not to mention the fact that we drove an hour and a half to get there from so. pa where i used to live. so anyway, we stand in line for like a half hour, and once we get up to the bouncers they refuse to let us in and proceed to rip on our clothes in front of everyone! i mean, yeah, we were a little raved out, but we werent wearing anything like ripped or dirty.

yeah that is another major thing that totally sucks about them...they say "no dress code" but then again if they don't like what you are wearing they impose their own rules on ya...Dammit!
