Could have anything I wanted for free, and got paid cash under the table (good tips too). I would sit there and eat muffins and drink cinnamon hazelnut coffee from 8-12 on Saturdays. Damn I miss the simple days.

My optimum age for babysitting is 8-11. Those ages rock. :yes:

I seriously considered this when I was a stay at home mom.  Unfortunately when you are with the father of your kids, the benefits from the gov't are few and far between, so getting a job outside of my home was financially impossible.

I tested it out with one of my friends kids (she worked, I stayed home, we split the paycheck).  Her kids were 6 months older than mine, and 14 months apart (my kids are 14 months apart as well).

I was homicidal after the first week. 

 

Honestly though, daycare workers make BANK.  Just run something out of your home.  Hire two or three aides.  :shrug:  Most people charge $400 a week per kid under a certain age.  You have 5-6 kids....... :shrug:
