i love kandi an the whole attitude alot , an defintly playing the role at parties an jus being innocent an carefree, but i notice as im getting older and the stresses of life have worn me down im not always so happy and nice as i use to be, and quite frankly a hell of alot of people piss me the fuck off, and im really tired of arrogant an ignorant an stuck up an stupid ass people esp ones that get in my face with shit. more than anything im just rambling but is it possiable to be a kandi kid an also be sumwhat jaded cause thats kinda how ive been feeling these days. i dont know just confused really , dont worry though ill try not to forget tha PLUR............... luv ya kids

a "kandi kid" is usually defined by their bubbles personality... if you are not feeling all bubbles and plur you are not a kandi kid

I know exactly what you are talking about. I have found myself snapping at people latley and kind of being an ass. Not doing it on purpose I catch myself doing it. I think it is just a phase some people go through. Is it people at parties that you get pissed off at? I started off being a happy-go-plurry kandi kid who just bounced around the club with smiles, stickers, and kandi for everyone...
And then ... things... happened. I learned that simply being happy and loving to everyone wouldn't cut it in the real world. I get angry at people, shout, and in general, get pissed a whole lot more now than I used to.

I was actually contemplating the possibility that I myself was a jaded kandi kid earlier today, so I definatly know where you're coming from.

It's easy to be kandi when you don't have bills to pay. I think as you get older you realize life ain't all stickers and glitter or whatever it is you kandi kids like. You gotta realize no matter how nice to people you are there will always be people who belittle you and treat you like shit. If you can learn to brush it off and stay upbeat and smiling then your truly a kandi kid. If not, then your on the path to jadeddom, enjoy the trip. I've never been all plury and shit but I think it would be a shame if all you kids died out. I think every party should have atleast 2-3 of you fre.. er kids bouncing and skipping and doing whatever the hell it is you do. Just don't hug me and try and put a sticker on my face or I'll elbow you :P

in the past year or so i have had my eyes opened a huge amount of superficiality, hypocrasy, arrogance, and idiocy in the rave scene..... for a while i was all like "oooo i'm getting jaded...." and then i realized that i myself was falling into the superficial slump that i had noticed in the scene... i had put too much emphasis on being a kandi raver or whatever the fuck i was being, and i had forgotten that one reason i fell in love with this scene in the first place was because nobody in it cared if i would just be myself.... and myself, though fairly peaceful and loving, hasn't always been saccarine with happiness and bubbling with joy... in fact, that's just not me at all. i still feel like PLUR is what the rave scene is and should be about.... but goddammit, happiness doesn't start with a p,l,u, or r. it's ok to be sad sometimes. it's ok to not have a good time at parties sometimes. it's ok to hate..... and all sorts of other things. we are human, we feel that way sometimes. but for every yin there is yang.... for every hate there is love.

once i figured all this stuff out, i was a lot happier and started having a better time going out. lol.

Where do you get one of those light alarm clocks? I get seasonal crap crapyness too. I feel everybody on the "jadedness" stuff. (for lack of a better word. I love the idea of being super happy plurry, stickery, kadied, bouchy etc... But the last year I usually am more comfortable in Graver clothing and I give more mean looks than i really want. perhaps it's my lack of appropiate group, but i definitly feel closed off and I wonder how I was every so plurrtasticly friendly in the first place. hrmmmm....

I am beginning to relate the whole plur thing to a morning after a fesitval o'booze with an icky person. Sure, the past was fun and open, people had less inhabitions, but there comes a time when you wake up and see what you are lying in bed with. I know that by allowing myself to be more accepting of others never paid off. You have 1st impressions and bad feelings for a reason when you meet shady characters- follow your instincts! Don't be consumed with the plur! Plur can be broken down as such: Peace- we've been praying for it for a long time, I dont think that girl is callin back. Love- that is an entire issue in and of iteslf NEVER worth getting into. Unity- can be found just about anywhere if you really wanna find it. Respect- you should've had that to begin with, if not, your fake and just following a trend.
Dont feel bad for not feeling the plur- I think the "beer goggles" were just removed.
