LOS ANGELES (Zap2it.com) - Fresh from making a killing at the box office with "Kill Bill," director Quentin Tarantino is considering making a sequel to his 1994 hit "Pulp Fiction."

"We could get John [Travolta], we could get Michael [Madsen], and we could get [Samuel Jackson] and Tim [Roth] ... everyone back," says the director, according to New Zealand's Aotearoa News.

"It would be interesting to see whatever happened to Jules and his plans to 'walk the earth.' Hey, just having Michael and John in the same frame would be great. They're great. But that said, I got to write such a thing."

Although Madsen did not appear in the original film, he starred in Tarantino's "Reservoir Dogs" in 1991 as Vic Vega, the brother of Travolta's "Pulp" character, Vincent Vega.

Don't hold your breath for "Pulp Fiction 2" quite yet, though. Not only is there no script, but also there's also the sticky little fact that the Vega brothers were struck down with great vengeance and furious anger in their respective films.

The sequel marks Tarantino's second attempt to unite the brothers on the big screen. After the success of "Pulp," the director had initially considered making the prequel "The Vega Brothers," which would have starred Travolta and Madsen as the titular siblings.

"Brothers" had generated much anticipation, then -- nothing.

Says the 40-year-old director, "['The Vega Brothers'] is something I always planned on doing, but other projects took precedence. Ten years on, John Travolta's getting older, Michael's getting older.

"Sequels generally suck, so it's nothing I want to rush into. But bottom line, the studio wants it, the fans want it. I'm sure I can compromise somewhere. It'd be my way of apologizing for never getting 'Vega Brothers' off the ground I guess."

In the meantime, you can watch another "Pulp" star, Uma Thurman, wreak havoc in "Kill Bill," which earned over $27 million at the U.S. box office as of Tuesday (Oct. 14).

off topic - badkitty, your old-school avatar looks like uma in the pulp fiction poster above. you just need to give her a cigarette and a "come hither" stare...

I definitely don't agree; however, Lucy Lui is adorable in Kill Bill. Well, adorable in a sadistic, vicious kind of way (:tarvis:).
I will again repeat my request that someone dress up as Gogo for Halloween. That would definitely rock my socks! :raveon:

It looks good on paper, but I don't know how he'll do it on the screen... especialy since (as the article points out) both Vega brothers got blown away. A Brothers prequel could work, even though they are both getting older. Consider that the Indian Jones movies are in a reverse timeline.

I think a prequel would work better than a sequel. But either way would be fine with me :) Pulp Fuction is one of the best movies ever.
