I was born many years ago, and given the name Sunshine Joy!
There was another Sunshine in my class, so I was dubbed 'Funshine' after the care bear..
A few years later, my parents leaving their hippie faze, decided to rename me Lauren Joy :D

Wow. My parents were definitely not hippies. However, I can understand about having other kids in your class with the same name. There were 3 of us in kindergarden named Jami so they used our first name and last initial. Until third grade, some kids still thought that my last initial was part of my first name.

incidentally, i believe i know of the "sunshine" to which this thread refers, however i have only met this girl once and have no idea whether her name is actually sunshine or not. lauren, however, is most definitely FUNshine. :D
