View Full Version : Missing you

terpsichorean
2003-09-13, 06:05 PM
Okay, I'm officially lonely. I normally do not like to expose my vulnerabilities publicly, but on this day...exactly one week from our "official" anniversary (of which we cannot spend together), I am lonely.

Life is not particularly bad here at all, but I just really miss all of my friends. And I especially miss YOU. I had no idea it would be this hard to be separated. And sadly, this stretch will not be our last extended separation, but rather the first of possibly many.

The infinite love that I have for you equates the heartache that I feel now. I feel raped of my spirit, and despite being in the middle of the desert, the sun shines less bright. And now the tears flow, as I think of you...

I suppose at some point I'll grow to be used to this, but it scares me to be desensitized to this despair. I love you with the intensity of a raging fire, and I never want that emotion to be extinguished.

Simply put, I am missing you like crazy on this day. I want you to always know that regardless of physical distance, you are in my heart, my private daytime reveries, and my dreams each and every day that I live and breathe.

You are my hero, my friend, my lover, and the love of my life. I love you more than you'll ever know.

In a way, it's all a matter of time
I will not worry for you, You'll be just fine
Take my thoughts with you, and when you look behind
You will surely see a face that you recognize

You're not alone, I'll wait till the end of time
Open your mind, Surely it's plain to see
You're not alone, I'll wait till the end of time for you
Open your mind, Surely there's time to be with me

It is the distance, that makes life a little hard
Two minds that once were close, Now so many miles apart
I will not falter though, I'll hold on till you're home
Safely back where you belong, And see how our love has grown

You're not alone, I'll wait till the end of time
Open your mind, Surely it's plain to see
You're not alone, I'll wait till the end of time for you
Open your mind, Surely there's time to be with me

Ok I have a question for everyone out there, how many of you would wait....oh let's say 6 years to be with someone? And now you're asking yourself why right? Why, because this guy makes you feel things you never dreamed possible, because he loves you, even your flaws! Everything sounds good, and you'd wait right?

When you find a guy that really loves you and will stick with you through anything... hold on to him. The harder you work for the relationship, the better it will be further down the road.

Blue_Kitten
2003-09-17, 09:55 PM
Exactly! That's what I think but everyone keeps telling me it wont work out. I'm willing to wait, there's no one else worth being with, I mean this guy is my other half and w/o him I feel horrible. I just wish I had a confirmation from him.

Muramasa
2003-09-17, 09:57 PM
I'd say more if I knew the situation better, but I have to at least give you MASSIVE props for sticking through your man when things get rough. Distance can be a killer unless you have faith in him and let him know how willing you are to wait for him. The stronger you stay, the more inspiration it will give him to be strong as well.

...or something like that.:kapluto:

2003-09-17, 10:17 PM
Oh honey I know your situation, its just like mine. My boyfriend just graduated college and is going into the Air Force for two years. We were only dating for like 5 months when he graduated and the past 4 months have been so hard, but so worth it. He makes me feel like no one else has, and when I am with him I have never been happier. Stick with it honey, it can work.

It was mos def good to see everyone again; and Kirkus, I am so sorry. I was only in Philly for two days (the Sundays on both weekends), and I really wanted to spend that time with my Mom and Dad. I only saw my grandmother for 15 minutes! I just so hard seeing everyone in a short period of time.

But I'll be back, probably in November, for another conference. We'll plan better for that one and I'll make it a point to see you.

Heh, I started another thread on this that got buried, but this is as good a place as any to say how wonderful it felt to see people again and realize the friendships that bonded most of us in the first place. Although I am quite happy to have returned to my life and Jerad here, it was truly a great visit to my old stomping grounds. Always good to meet new faces and catch up with old ones.

And congratulations on figuring out the world's simplest instructions from Ikea, Dina!
