definitly not a variation of styles... you're using different elements from different genres...

the vocals aren't very flowy, you've got this sweet voice one second and then this MC that chimes in.... it almost sounds like piano chords in the background... it sounds unorganized... you need to pinpoint your beats a little more in my opinion, it just sounds a little scattered, nice builds and low points, don't try to fuse so much together... go with the old theory: less is best... constructive criticism ;)

thanks for the replies! I don't know what I can do to make the vocals more 'flowy' ... I'll try. I was going on a linkin park/evanessance kick with the sing/rap thing. I know, I'm no Eminem or Vanilla Ice, but I try ^_~ Not sure what you mean by pinpoint the beats though ... Anyway, I hope you enjoyed the 5:30 it took to listen to the song!:afterbuzz:

the beats flow at some points but some of them come in at the wrong time, by "pinpointing" i just meant you need to lock down the rhythm of it all bc like i said before it just seems a little unorganized ;)

Josh only thing I can say is that most hard house tracks follow a 32 along with your 8...... or a 16 instead of 32..... but a couple points in your track you hit a 24 track which kinda kills the flow I do have to agree with valencia styles on the fact that a little pin pointing is needed here and there besides that the basic of it is good.... you gave me a copy of this song before and it is one of your better songs and has potential with a little tweaking it could be really good.....

32 tracks as in 32 sounds going on at once, or 32 measure? I assume since each of these numbers are divisable by 8 you mean they are measures, if so, I don't see how 24 beats (3 measures, 8 beats) would kill a flow unless it cuts off a musical phrase. I don't really understand the post.

Its not about the musical phase cut..... Im just saying from a hard house dj`s perspective Im stuck on 16 or 32 measures before a change in mix..... But then again I cant bitch cuz I used a 8 count measure in my hard breaks track..... from anyone else listening it would sound fine.......

I think slowed down it would be a decent house track just not dark enough 4 my type of hard house. Oh yes and quality hard house 2 me at least = no vocals just samples and many of sick synths on top of another but then again thatz what I like. Maybe good for humpty vision or bad boy or any non hard houser, I think slowed up it would be better, please no 1 take offense lol :icecream: :burnout:

it's not straight hh, I just made what I heard in my head. Once it was done I was like "wtf genre is this?" I thought it was kindof a fusion of hard house and hard trance, probably closer to the hard trance side. LOL your the first person to tell me my music wasn't dark enough ^_^ I only wish bad boy of humpty would spin this.

Hate to say it, but I didn't really care for this much....couldn't finish it. Which is hard to say since I don;t produce anything, but you wanted feedback....
The two sets of vocals are too conflicting for the beats. For my taste, this has way too much vocal; I'd suggest not having either the singer or MC in there.
Of course, this is just MHO......

it's just a conflicting track. the fact that u didn't pinpoint a genre and stick with it and then had elements of other genres thrown in there it was just a clusterfuck in the end. if you're gonna do a soft vocal, you can't say you've balanced it with an MC you know?
there's certain characteristics of each genre that people tend to gravitate to... you've got to sort out which elements to use and simplify this track. i'd love to hear a 2nd go at this...
remember less is best. my favorite tracks are the ones with the most minimal properties to them. if you can make a phat track with the littlest effort you've made a better track than those who have just piled beats on top of eachother in my opinion.
