Please make sure you vote as instructed. its a 2 part poll, with a place for men to answer, and a place for women to answer

So this topic was brought up between janice and I. Basically, should men use skin care products? Janice had this stuff called "gingerbread man", some exfoliating skin rub that was like sand paper lotion. It looked interesting, and I gave it a try. lol. it was neat, kinda left my skin soft . lol My uncle always said "its ok to be "in touch" with your feminine side, as long as you dont "touch" your feminine side". LOL Janice says men should use skin care products, which mine doesnt go beyond some face cleaner and some zest, and well, i always look good. LOL jk. So im wondering, aside from the basics, should men use skin care products?!? your thoughts

I think people use far too many chemicals on their bodies period...

If they need to use products like that to prevent nastiness and blemishes then kudos to them.

Make up? no.

I use clean and clear for my face, don't need it, but it keeps my skin even clearer. I use a lot of face wash, body products though. I use oil blot papers from bath and body works too.

Yo, as far as chemicals, this gingerbread shit was just a salt scrub, i think its all natural. the ladies would have to answer for me. It was some seasonal product that they dont make any more. It felt like someone scratching you, which i love being scratched.... so long as someone goes "wicky wicky" at the same time. lo\

actually, the oil blot papers are pretty common. I used to bust em out more back in the high school days, when kids were cruel. lol

I use body wash and baby oil. I find it works better then lotion. And i also use oil reducer.

:D ...lotion and baby oil.... :D

My older brother had a lot of issues with his skin... everyone in my family does. He always had more skin care products than me, but he always looked better, too. Honestly, flesh is flesh. It's just as important to guys as it is to ladies... and you should use whatever makes you comfortable, or whatever your doctor prescribes.

...my brother still has more skin care products than i do...and he tends to smell better, too....

If their skin is fucked up and there's straight up apparent acne, then yes get help! Otherwise guys just use an astringent.... don't go all out with the three step process now! That's just too much for a gal like me to fathom...

My guy: "Oh excuse me, I have to go cleanse, exfoliate, and moisturize.... BE RIGHT BACK HONEY!"
Me: :bolt:

All I'm saying fellas is not to lose all of your masculinity here and just completely pamper your pores.... Girls like the fact that guys are carefree.... That's fine to use some stuff in the shower, but don't sit in front of a magnificaton mirror looking for blackheads or stray hairs!!! It just isn't sexy!

i don't... the skin on my hand started peeling kinda bad last week, and my mom suggested i use some hand cream, and i sort of considered it for a second, then decided it really doesn't matter that much. so yeah that's about the extent of my skin care considerations....

i have naturally oily skin so i have absolutely no need to use anything to make my skin soft.... and as for pimples or whatever, i wash my face every day and it usually keeps everything clear... i still get the occassional pimple, but i don't really care, honestly.

Nothing wrong with a man taking care of his skin.

Now if a guy have more skin care products than me? I'm skurrrrred.

the answer to this question is:

negative ghostrider, the pattern is full.

seriously, if youre a guy and you care enough to purchase beauty products and actually use them, besides normal things like gel, toothpaste, hygenie products such as soap, deodorant, etc...

i just plain feel sorry for you. theres more to life then trying to make people think you look good. you were put on this planet a certain way, have the fucking balls to walk around like that.

Men should have some kind of skin care regimen, but remember what happens when it gets out of control!!

No make-up or bronzer
But, I am all about a guy taking care of himself like I take care of myself.

Like using an exfoliator like Zirh products or a bar of exfoliating scrub made for guys skin before shaving....it will prevent ingrown hair and stubble and breakouts, in guys.

Using a cleanser...deep pore stuff...using a moisturizer too with spf makes skin softer to touch for us females.

I am mainly for HAIR products....like leave in conditioner like infusium 23
like guys that maintain a cool ass hairstyle and know how to style it and not feel like a porcupine.

Pedicure and manicure........gross nails and toenails and stinky feet are just really bad..get one
or buy yourself a at home spa kit for feet if you can't afford or are too embarrased going into a spa.

I feel if we put alot of effort into looking good maybe guys should do the same.

there's a certain place or situation to break out with the high maitenance
like dates..outings with female friends...clubs...work
It just makes a better impression on character to a person you are meeting or if you are to be seen out in public you don't want to look totally slack ass.

Unless you have plans with home and tv in pj's or sitting naked in front of the computer the maitenance can be ignored.

Depends whether a guy needs the skincare. If he does, then I don't see why he shouldn't. If his skin is already perfect then why bother it. Nothing wrong with cleansing and moisurising for a guy. I think women would prefer he did that than had pitted skin and blackheads and pimples.
