Yay, I finally get to post this in my thread:

A Sovereign State Takeover with Spiggy and Empath.

Electro, 80s, Techno, Synthpop and other random stuff in the Rubik Lounge featuring Sovereign State DJ's Spiggy & Empath.

I'll be playing Thursday, October 16 at Overflow (http://www.sovereign-state.com/events.html), the new Sovereign State shindig.

Overflow is located on the lower level of Cafe Japone, which is easy to get to from the Dupont Circle metro station -- just ride the escalator to the surface from the railway abyss, face the circle, walk left (clockwise) and then turn on P St. Cafe Japone is located on P St. between 20th and 21st.

I'll be spinning tech house and progressive house, from the scary and dark to the dreamy and uplifting, possibly bangin' it out a little bit toward the end of the night if circumstances allow. The vibe is very intimate and drinks are available, as well as what the reviews indicate is some of the tastiest sushi available in D.C.

Best of all, there's no cover for this event! So please come out and introduce yourselves, I'd love to meet you!

Saturday, November 22nd: SENSATION at Club 216. I'll be opening up from 11:30-1:00 with peak-hour progressive, breaks, and trance for NOEL SANGER!!! I recently picked up his remix of Big Country, incredible! This man should not be missed if you're anywhere in the area...

Yeah Ray, the last few months have been ultra hectic and I've had to reprioritize my tasks. Unfortunately DJing was relegated to the bottom and so I've not had any chance to promote nor practise my DJing. Of course, that also included my time online and thus the absence from the Buzz board.

I'm not sure how many people will remember me but I have been around since about '93 and was heavily active in the DC scene for years. My companies, in conjunction with a few others were; 5" Taint and State-side. We hosted several events to include Gravity Blue, Stereo, Vision, Volume, United We Stand, a few one-offs, etc. I used to play strictly progressive as Timmee, or PJ Bottoms. I recently moved to nashville TN and have thrown events down here. I have also spun out at a few places. I have since changed my psuedonym to Ovalice- Pronounced "of Alice". My mom recently passed away suddenly and it completely shook me--hence the name Ovalice. My style is progressive but I encompass a wide range so I have coined the style schitzophonic. Anyhow, I am playing new years eve down here from 1:30 to 2:45 at a place called Kazu---check non-buzz event listings out of state for details.
