Revolutions Per Minute is back once again for April 1st (no foolin') bringing the best in local underground dance music to your radio. This month, we're featuring local house music pioneer Dave Brock and dubstep dj/promoter Rob-E-Rukus.
Dave Brock, a former WKNC DJ, got his initial exposure to dance music in 1989 prompting the creation of Raleigh's first house-formatted live-mix radio show, NV(e). Now he's back, bringing the sounds of smooth soulful house to Raleigh once again.
Rob-E-Rukus has been a Carolina breakbeats fixture for nearly a decade beginning in Wilmington. Now a Raleighite, Rob's taste in music has evolved with the times favoring the bass-heavy UK-style dubstep sound. He's also one of the minds behind the Dub-A-Nation Tuesday night bi-weekly at Kathmandu.
Triangle heads can catch us on 88.1 FM, WKNC. For our friends further afield, you can stream us live at http://wknc.org/listen Be sure to tune in at 8:00 so you don't miss any of the free event pass giveaways.
