John, do you know Holmes Ives?
he is local to the area, and is well known prog house producer and engineer with quality studio, I believe.
someone told me that he mixed down and mastered his release recently and he was impressed with the quality.

Holmes Ives is amazing but I mean he's an established artist.
I am looking for a pure engineer who's happy to be part of a team and something potentially big. I am not looking for a mastering house where you pay money to get tracks mastered. I got plenty of connects for that. I also don't need help with learning engineering/production. I have had releases on big labels and have a solid sound. What I am looking for is somebody special who can take me/us to an even higher level.
I am trying to start a group and turn it into a machine for music production. Somebody who can help me free up to focus on the writing aspects of music and crank out tunes much faster is the goal. Right now I get bogged down mastering and engineering tracks. Also, this would hopefully be an engineer for several established artists not just me. Think of it as building a DC MAFIA

larry packer aka Uncle Punchy. He owns a $1,000,000 studio in his house in silver spring and recorded, mixed, engineered, and mastered most of Clutch's Albums there. You would have to pay though, as he has a wife and kid to take care of, plus he is more geared toward bands.
His studio is rediculous though. He's running a Sony DMX "Baby Oxford" console as the centerpeice too!

I have a good friend that graduated from audio engineering school I want to say 5 years ago and has been doing live work for Blue Sky Audio and studio work for Speak Easy Productions. He's located in Baltimore City but may be willing to travel. You can read his bio (Ethan Montgomery) here: http://www.blueskyaudioinc.com/BSAStaffBios.html
If you are interested I can get you his contact info.
