Ian, thanks for asking! Last night wasn't bad. I was (still am) really sick so I couldn't hang out much. I wasn't that happy with my set -- due to poor planning the energy just went up and down and I experimented too much without practice. Since 90% of my sets are either radio or in the chillout room, playing to a dance floor always flips me for real. My set would have been awesome if I had thought about dropping the Partridge Family theme song though.

My personal highlights include "Next Episode" a capella (the nate dogg "aaaay-ay" part) on top of Billy Squier "Big Beat", and this SUPER CRITICAL combo:

Babe Ruth "The Mexican" -> Melanie Fiona "Give It To Me Right" -> Fun Lovin' Criminals "Scooby Snacks" (Rockamental version) -> Trouble Funk "Pump Me Up"

I got the idea of using "Scooby Snacks" from Nick Thayer playing it at Mass Transit. I'm a biter, but I also think I did a better job than he did with this :-).

For some reason I love playing rock/funk more than purely electronic music lately.

Phill and my boy Ajay totally called me out on my set too :(. I got mixed reviews from others, some people liked it so that was good!

scooby snacks kinda clashes with the one before it, but the mix from the mexican was good.

I agree -- I need to figure out what to do about that. I wish Serato could change the pitch without changing the tempo.

The original plan was to mix into scooby snacks from Groove Armada "Raisin' The Stakes" which works much better, but I had to use the Groove Armada track somewhere else.

(and yeah I'm sure Traktor can do it but I'm using this)
