Oh well, I guess we should just be thankful it's getting booked now with some regularity.

i dont want to get into it on a public forum, in the promoters thread nonetheless.

Orpheus was seeming like a very tight Dubstep venue btw

I've been to Orpheus once a long while ago. It's a pretty cool spot and i'd definitely go there again. But the point is Baltimore needs a NICE venue. You know, somewhat renovated, good locale, bigass bar, BANGING SOUNDSYSTEM. Shit, I wouldnt care about the rest really if there was a spot with the latter.

but whatever, Nick Argon is coming to Bmore!!! BOH!

I'm right there with you Matt. I haven't been to the Black Hole so I can't comment. I don't need a VIP room, velvet rope, or bottle service but a good sound-system, a bar, and a little room to move around isn't too much to ask. Furthermore, I'd prefer not hanging out in a dirty ass crack den with high school kids either. That shit was OK back in the day but I'm a little old for that business now. Trust me when I say I know how hard securing a good venue is but Baltimore is a big ass city and I'm sure something can be had with a little effort & $$. With that being said I've heard mixed reviews (some really good, some so-so) on the Black Hole and am long overdue to get out and check the joint out. I heard the spot itself isn't too bad at all, just the fact that it's in Dundalk is one of the bigger complaints I've heard. I'm waaay out on the East side so the location def works for me :-)

I'm all about Gallery, that spot is dope.
I can't wait to check it out when the patio is open.
Steve's is dope too but that shit we had setup in the back sucked serious ass.
Oh yeah, fuck D.C. drink prices except that party you threw Dan, those specials were $$.

If you know about GZ then you'll be there for sure. If not and you need directions you can also email goodvibeseastcoast@yahoo.com

This is running late and its BYOB, $10 cover. Plenty of water and Xtra sound. Tons of Changes since the last GZ party.

D U D E ! ! ! !

I was speculating w/ Chad earlier in the day if the attendees of the party would make the trek into the city to a place unknown to follow this party.

The answer was:

Y E S ! ! !

Holy freakin' HELL! The joint was PACKED! Ton o' Lil Raverites and Raverettes littered all over the place! I didn't think THAT many of them would be so committed to the party to come into town, but they did! And everyone was having a great time, esp in the new, HUUUUUUUGE opened up middle room!

GZ Crew and Chad & John - you guys pulled this one out of thin air and created a huge, slammin' party!
WAY TO GO!!!

I know you all worked EXTREMELY hard to make the incredibly last-miute venue change viable:
John - props to your great organization with directions & sentinels posted @ The Hole to re-direct the party-goers & your overall great management of resources.
Chad - props for being the Party Broker and putting 1 + 1 together to make lemonade outta lemons.
GZ - way to bust your asses to make a "club" outta your home in, like, less than 24 hours!

I have awesome friends! :D

Yeah mad props too all! GZ was SUPER-RAVE!!! I only caught the last 2 hours of the night but the music was hot and so was everything. Totally worth it though. GZ crew, the place is looking awesome! wellll...

now that all the dust has settled at ground zero, argons on his way back to san fran and i have since thursday night pushed myself to the limit physically, mentally and emotionally i can say it was all worth it.

when i found out on thursday night that the renovations at the black hole wouldent be ready in time for the show i knew that the next 48 hours were going to be a complete clusterfuck trying to make something work lol

but a TON of great people really came through, my homeboy chad put me into contact with the INCREDIBLE people at ground zero. for you guys to open up your spot to us like that in less then a days notice is nothing short of amazing, karma will treat all of you very well!!!

also thanks to the loyal GVP crew for holding it down, desired effect taking care of the door for me most of the night, and the kids that waited at the hole for afew hours letting people know what was going on. and DIGICON!! you guys kick serious ass in every way, and have been in the family since DAY ONE, since my first show, thanks for comming along for the ride =)

i know i forgot alot of people, it couldent have went down without everyones equal effort

MOST IMPORTANTLY AND ABOVE ALL!!
thank you to the army of ravers that people thought didnt exsist in baltimore. your unconditional support since the begining has been one of the most humbling experiences in my life. it looks like we got a crazy ass road in front of us!!!

THANKS AGAIN TO EVERYONE, GLAD YOU HAD A BLAST!!!

wellll...

now that all the dust has settled at ground zero, argons on his way back to san fran and i have since thursday night pushed myself to the limit physically, mentally and emotionally i can say it was all worth it.

when i found out on thursday night that the renovations at the black hole wouldent be ready in time for the show i knew that the next 48 hours were going to be a complete clusterfuck trying to make something work lol

but a TON of great people really came through, my homeboy chad put me into contact with the INCREDIBLE people at ground zero. for you guys to open up your spot to us like that in less then a days notice is nothing short of amazing, karma will treat all of you very well!!!

also thanks to the loyal GVP crew for holding it down, desired effect taking care of the door for me most of the night, and the kids that waited at the hole for afew hours letting people know what was going on. and DIGICON!! you guys kick serious ass in every way, and have been in the family since DAY ONE, since my first show, thanks for comming along for the ride =)

i know i forgot alot of people, it couldent have went down without everyones equal effort

MOST IMPORTANTLY AND ABOVE ALL!!
thank you to the army of ravers that people thought didnt exsist in baltimore. your unconditional support since the begining has been one of the most humbling experiences in my life. it looks like we got a crazy ass road in front of us!!!

THANKS AGAIN TO EVERYONE, GLAD YOU HAD A BLAST!!!

hopefully my voice will be back soon...for realll

KUDOS TO EVERYONE .. wasnt able to make it .. but heard of the disaster being averted ..and to see your review bro makes me happy .. You all are great people and it really makes me happy that things freaking turned out being mega RAVE!!! which was the goal .. PLUR and stuff :P seriously wish we had come but we were taking this weekend off .. April was just too much for our old asses

omg... finally finished mopping and putting the place back together.

For having pulled that party out of our collective asses, I think we did alright! I am so tired I can't think of anything eloquent to type....

Haach & Kelli, you rocked balls, thank you so much.

Erk and Planet Neil were instumental, as well as our import member of GZ, Teresa, an old old mate from jersey... without the three of them, the party would not have flown as smoothly.

John and Mike and all the other heads from GV, as well as Ghost and Dastardly too, you guys all impressed me. Keeping it together under the ridiculous conditions was tough, you did it with class and stayed collected, while being amazing guests in our place. It was a pleasure!

omg little rave kids everywhere.... with the exception of that dude that tagged Zero all over, the crowd was ok. But if I get my hands on that guy..... grr.

Chad from Radar hooked this whole thing up, way to network and broker the whole thing!!
Good times good times... Glad we could help pull it off.

My only regret is that the rest of Ground Zero couldn't make it. But I guess almost no notice will do that.... bah, it was still awesome!

I know for John and I (Mike), yours and Anthony's opinion was most important. You literally opened your home to Good Vibes and all our little raver kids with smiles and open arms. That means SOO much, you have no idea. As for the COUNTLESS other people that had a hand in making this thing work...it was like fate had its hand in this...all the right people in all the right places...how often does it ever work like that? This night was handled with surgical precision by everyone involved. THANK YOU SO MUCH TO ALL OF YOU. And you KNOW there will be more shenanigans like this in the future ;-)

Again, thank you thank you thank you, this really was a damn near perfect night.

Someone remind me not to try and crowbar a rave into my life with less then 24 hours notice, while I'm in the middle of getting ready for 2 art shows [1 for Danie//e @ Shortys the other is me and the gang @ Baltimore Pho, in Sowebo] Have to work the mornin of the day I'm supposed to hang the bloody show .... bla, bla, bla

To HELL with that .... It was a FREAKIN BLAST !!!

Big NODS to all the heads that brought gear on such short notice...

Good to see kats I havent seen in a minute. Good to meet some new ones.

Much Respect to John and Mike. Way to handle yourselves under pressure, with all that went down. You guys hit it like Pros.

My Thanks to the GZ crew that was able to make it here, Could Not have done it without.

Chad, Way to SAVE the RAVE My Brother !!! We ALL owe him for this.

To the new people that haven't been here before, Welcome to our warehouse, life in the underground. Now you know.

Yours Bastardly

Always a pleasure to help out the Goodvibes Fam and to be a part of such an awesome party! Anytime man…anytime.
Also, who was that energetic MC-type cat at the end? Want to look ‘em up on myspace. Reminded me of Atari Teenage Riot (minus the political stuff)…
Great night all around.
