Description:
Translation Recordings unveils its fourth vinyl release featuring veteran producer ASC. In conjunction with Covert Operations Recordings, the first installment of the Astral Traveller LP blends the best elements of old school jungle with ASC’s signature futuristic sound. “Lightyears” is a preview of the vibe behind the LP. The track opens with minimal breakbeats and blossoms into a harmonious mixture of spliced edits, eerie atmospherics, and a pulsing sub bass generating a sound as deep as the epic abyss of space. The more energetic “Delta Shift” combines timeless old school sounds, with cascading drums, progressive synths, and deep, echoing vocals/fx to give the overall release a unique edge as it fuses old with new.
