Hey Everyone!
The Binary Mix Sessions is back! This is a home coming of sorts, as WTJU (The University of Virginia radio station) is where The Binary Mix Sessions got its start back in 2002. In 2004 the show migrated to BREAKSFM and then Global Funk Radio. Now, with the wonder of modern technology, people all over the world can now also tune into our broadcast along with the FM radio listeners in the central Virginia region.
Please join us on Sunday Mornings at 1 AM Eastern Standard Time for a continuous mix of downtempo, electro and techno bass releases from artists all over the globe. We will also be featuring special guests artists periodically, so stay tuned for further announcements!

Well as you can see on the flyer, my wife is just fine.
Now what do you mean by "entertaining times"? you mean acting like a dickhead like you are some big shit?....yeah, we remember!

would that be considered a personal attack?

Dunno...i guess i'd have to dig up the old threads and see if you consider those personal attacks against my wife or not...

if i remember correctly, and i do - your wife was a complete bitch, and pissed off a good number of people on this board.
i'd be happy to dig up the threads where your perfectly innocent angel was not so much if you'd like to be a complete douchebag.

Do you honestly have nothing better to do than troll this board and hijack other people's threads? this is what originally caused problems.
Look at your self dude, you walk around like you are some big timer in the DC scene and think somehow that puts you on a pedestal...get real my man, you are nothing and will never be until you change your arrogant and ignorant attitude. You are a pathetic weasel and you ought to be ashamed of yourself for wasting people's times and instigating petty bullshit scenarios which reflect nothing but your senseless competitive approach to the way things work.
In the end, the only question that matters is: what are YOU doing for the music and the people? my conscience is more than clear...
Peace out!

let's see - what am i doing?
i work for three labels (doing everything from online promotion on over 80 boards, to a&r stuff, to visa details, to helping run a blog, etc...also, when i say three labels, i mean 1 does two releases a month and 2 are vinyl also - so not scrubby labels), and i am the head reviewer on the biggest breaks site in the world (www.nuskoolbreaks.co.uk) i spend hours each week doing something that, in the grand scheme of things, i don't get paid that much for, and did for free for quite a while. let's see - i also throw parties in this area. more than 1 person played buzz (for example) for the their first times because i brought them along to tag with me. i've gone out of my way to be very opinionated in defense of my friends who i didnt think were getting props that they deserved. i even paid when i went to herbal for an nsb party (because flying three thousand miles away wasnt enough, i beleive in the site that i work for, so i paid to get in).
go on...it's ok. tell me i do nothing for the music or the people.
that said -
obviously, you and your wife are still complete fuckwads. the amusing thing is i'm not even opposed to your music at all (in fact, i actually like your original works - most notably "they walk among us") . its just you both have this douche attitude, that obviously, aint changed at all. speaking of trolling, when i was searching back in previous threads, i don't remember - was it you, or her, who was the troller under the name of "dissapointed" ??
we can continue this in pm, or we can drop it now.

actually, another thing (and this is not soley directed at you) -
it royally irks the shit out of me when people say things like "what are YOU doing for the music and the people?".
at the end of the day, i do more for breakbeat than 99% of people in this whole fucking dc/md/va area. just because people don't necesarily pay close attention, surely does not mean it doesnt happen. i'm not just someone who buys/downloads tunes and plays out, and that's it. i'm a slave to techfunk, and if people really pay attention, they can figure that out. when i have people that are on top of their shit (meat katie, dylan rhymes, aquasky, klaus hill, dopamine, elite force, robosapiens, diverted, etc...) all coming to me personally and asking me to work for their labels, than i'm doing something right.
also - to answer your earlier question some more, you'll be seeing my name in the release category sooner, rather than later
now that we've had this little talk, i'm going to cut right to the chase - are your tunes available as digital, or soley vinyl? you and i arguing aside, i actually do like your tunes.

Thanks for reminding me about the exact thread, yeah, it was dissapointed.
The simple fact you got so bent out of shape about that thread towards her shows what an asshole you are. By dusche attitude you are talking about what is constitutionally referred to as "Free Speech". What is wrong with publicly complaining about obvious problems with Buzz, like djs playing out with MP3s and such.
Its funny after that thread, Stjarna got tons of good reputation points and lots of messages from "frequent goers" of Buzz that were glad someone finally spoke up.
Obviously to you and your fellow cronies trying to get big off of Buzz, that was a direct threat, but it allowed your true selves to shine so that people could see you for what you really were.
This couldve been set aside, but your smart-ass reply to this thread showed you still thought somehow it was funny or you were right and that i think is were this whole thing continued its downward spiral.
As far as what you are doing, good for you! hopefully getting more serious about the music will help you grow up.

Thanks for reminding me about the exact thread, yeah, it was dissapointed. And what do you mean by Troller for starting that thread? a frequent poster that is doing much in the industry posting a thread and you call that a troll...a troll my friend, is one who doesnt do much but hijack people's threads and starts conflicts, ie, YOU...get it right bubbah.

are you for real though? one of the problems with buzz was dj's playing out with mp3's? by cronies, do you mean fellow digital dj's? and by what we really were, do you also mean dj's who play off of cd? i dont see what the big deal is here. if i remember right, wasnt dissapionted started because you all went to see lee coombs, and were dissapointed that he didnt play a rack of electro breaks? that i could be wrong about, but im pretty sure i remember that being the case.
what is your issue with dj's who play off of cd? and by your logic, me being an "asshole" is me exercising my right, to as you called it "free speech".
right?

I dont really any problems with digital djs at all, all of our music is available through all the major retailers and we are happy to experiment with this new technology. The problem with MP3s in general is that they are a Compressed File, meaning that audio quality is stripped off to make it more easily downloadable.
Vinyl records are the truest interpretation of the original recording next to reel tape. When you take that master and put it on CD or an mp3, it has to split the info into 0s and 1s which means that audio information is lost between the spaces. Recording on computers already makes stuff digital sounding which makes the master less quality than an analog recording, so its important to limit how much the audio is split between sources or how much it is compressed.
If you wanna dj digitally, you need to do it either with WAV, or FLAC. Labels and artists spend a great deal of money and effort mastering material, and it just doesnt make sense to take that stuff to a $100,000 sound system where it cant be reproduced.
The night we went to see Lee Combs, most djs were playing with MP3s and all you could hear was muffled Highs and distorted Lows, typical of compressed files.
As far as you exercising your rights Daniella, i am not sure how that can be justified when all you were basically doing was attacking someone because you disagreed. If you have a problem with someone, you need to be diplomatic about it if you expect to get your point across and not come off like a jerk.

because lee coombs is both my favorite dj, and favorite producer. and at the time, you all werent so diplomatic either.
but, it's done. and you've answered my question about your music. thank you.
