bebar hosts a variety of events for the gay community, but they also have plenty of stuff going on there that isn't.
what are you doing looking up gay nights anyway??

i was looking up the address for bebar on the site, since you didn't list it in the thread. i posted that for discussion sake. i find it disturbing whether it's gay or not.

Hey man, if that's your scene, all the power to you, but you'll be sorely disappointed by all the girls getting off to some serious experimental, down tempo, and techno when 88 & Co. take over for the X and Pulse events!

no worries man - it is a pretty nasty description....
i just think its sad that some people won't go to bebar because they're afraid they might see a gay person there, or god forbid talk to one.
i'm not saying you feel that way at all, but i've had to deal with this issue before and i think its pretty lame.
we don't really want ignorant people at our parties anyway, so i'm not sweatin it. i hope you give it a shot though - these parties are a hell of a lot of fun. and as troy mentioned, there are always plenty of sexy ladies in attendance - sexy art school chicks are the best!

Also on hand will be George Pierson, founder of Creative Mindflow. He will be monitoring and offering instant brainwave feedback to sketching artists whenever they are in their creative flow zone. This "Awakened Mind" brainwave state was first found in yogi's and other spiritual masters by Maxwell Cade in the mid 70's. Since then, it has has also been found during peak (ah-ha) creative moments...which Creative Mindflow helps artists and non-artists to achieve and master.

Kubler Absinthe is a sponsor this month - $6 drinks.
Watch out!
this ain't no fake absinthe copycat liquor either!
http://kublerabsinthe.com/
http://i192.photobucket.com/albums/z42/iimedia/kubler.jpg
Absinthe is a distilled, highly alcoholic (45%-70% ABV), anise-flavored spirit derived from herbs, including the flowers and leaves of the herb Artemisia absinthium, also called “wormwood.” Absinthe is typically of a natural green color but is also produced in both clear and artificially colored styles. It is often called “the Green Fairy.”
Although it is sometimes mistakenly called a liqueur, absinthe is not bottled with added sugar and is therefore classified as a liquor.[1] Absinthe is unusual among spirits in that it is bottled at a high proof but is normally diluted with water when it is drunk.
Absinthe originated in Switzerland. However, it is better known for its popularity as an alcoholic drink in late 19th- and early 20th-century France, particularly among Parisian artists and writers. Due in part to its association with bohemian culture, absinthe was opposed by social conservatives and prohibitionists. Charles Baudelaire, Paul Verlaine, Arthur Rimbaud, Vincent van Gogh, Oscar Wilde, and Aleister Crowley were all notorious “bad men” of that day who were (or were thought to be) devotees of the Green Fairy.
