What You Need To Do:
1. Email 4playlist@districtignition.com with your name and the names of any friends NO LATER THAN 6PM ON THURSDAY. This list is separate from Snatch or GLOW so you must email us when you would like to come out.
2. Include FIRST AND LAST NAMES PLEASE! We will accept "plusses" but they must show up with you at the door, otherwise, they'll have to stand in the long line & pay full price.

The line is located on the EAST side of the entrance (to the right if you're facing the club) and is the one that is closest to the street (not the one against the wall that is MUCH, MUCH longer).

He's been playing in DC for years and always knows how to bring it. Here's some info on the lad:
San Francisco-based producer and DJ Behrouz is difficult to label as he is like the music he creates and plays: organic, emotional, mystical and entirely unique.
Over the course of his exciting career, Behrouz has traveled the world over playing alongside the industry’s leading DJ’s including Deep Dish, Danny Tenaglia, John Digweed, Carl Cox and Pete Tong just to name a few. Tenaglia and Deep Dish recently named Behrouz “the DJ to watch” in DJ Magazine’s annual Top 100 DJ issue. Most recently, Behrouz was acclaimed for his memorable set at Pacha Ibiza’s closing party.
With DJ events from Los Angeles to Buenos Aires to Dubai to Tokyo, this year looks to be an even more exciting year for Behrouz. In addition to his residencies at Release and Church nightclub (Denver), Behrouz was recently appointed to a bi-monthly residency at London’s Turnmills nightclub. He’s currently working in the studio with forthcoming projects to be released later this year and was recently nominated by Dancestar USA for Best Breakthrough DJ.
You can listen to some of his music compilations, production & remixes at www.djbehrouz.com

Well damn, and here I was actually looking forward to this... I can't speak to the personal side of him but I have enjoyed him when I've heard his sets, and expect to do so tomorrow as well. As far as emulating other dj's, it's something that everyone does to some extent. In dj'ing, as in life, we tend to emulate the people around us that influence us and shape the way we perceive the world and ourselves in it. Since the "Tenaglia sound" used to be huge and minimal certainly is the "it" music at present it seems pretty logical that's what Behrouz and a lot of other dj's would be doing. Regardless, I'm kinda stoked for tomorrow!

Who cares if he played minimal?!? That was one set, and there are a lot of EDM heads who dig it because it is a growing trend. I don't particularly care for it, but it is the next big thing in the scene. It is huge in Europe and will be huge here in a year or two. I think that if you are going to give negative feedback, you should provide something constructive.

i hear he is a badass dj, but have no knowledge of his personality...regardless, everybody sounds like somebody, and danny t was a HUGE influence on his early career and sound...and I think we are talking about minimal style tribal, which I can assure you is completely different from minimal techno...either way we will find out tomorrow...

I'm just trying to figure out how his music selection has anything to do with his personality. :) I'm sure he's a stand up guy and from what I have heard from him in the past, a killer DJ!

To add to my last post, I just spoke with a couple of my friends who randomly met him down in Miami. They said he was a really chill guy and very down to earth. They were just shootin the shit about music and laughing at two drunk ass dudes trying to pick up a group of girls at the bar, lol.

I did not know that, and I'm sure she has justification. I just try to emphasize that if people give their opinions, they can easily come off as blind and uneducated opinions unless reinforced by something constructive. :)
Thanks for the feedback feedback John and I'm glad to hear you are gonna make it out tomorrow!

Regardless, does anyone have a live set of something recent?
John referenced a set from WMC... could probably find that without too much effort... I'll see what I can find...
That said, the last time I saw Behrouz was @ FIVE a few months ago, and, for what it's worth, I thought he was freaking amazing... Wouldn't be shocked to have another Ali sighting on Thursday night if he's in town...

the set is fantastic. its like 3 hours long too. goes from boring as fuck deep stuff (only for a lil) to Progressive house, to minimal house, to techno, to banging electro, to progressive Pryda stuff. basically covers all the bases of music i like currently. My buddy Jimmy Vallance actually went to this party and raved how sick it was to me at WMC. I was at PVD/Kleinenberg at Space hehe

he's a douche and a shitty DJ.
As I posted on her original tasteless post:
Wow. Beth you have some major hate issues girl. It's very slanderous for you to go on these messageboards and spread lies about Behrouz. First and foremost his sound is not like Danny Tenaglia (there have been similiarities over the years but he's never emulated Danny). He's had his own sound from day one. As is with every dj, you have a mentor and someone you look up to and Behrouz has always gone on record and in his shows to show his respect for Danny as a friend and as almost an older brother and also his respect for Deep Dish who are like brothers to him as well. Second Behrouz is one of the most professional dj's out there in the industry. He's considered one of the top djs in US and his profile has been growing not only in the US but worldwide. He just did a track on Nervous (Behrouz presents the FBI Project) that is going to be huge this summer and has a double cd, Pure Behrouz NYC coming out this summer as well. If you have personal issues with him, that's fine but dont go spreading lies about his music and career. You better watch what you say because it will come back to haunt you sooner or later.
From what I hear, you have major ego issues and from your posts on this board it appears you have to check yourself. As someone that works in the music industry you should have enough respect or should I say class not to go on public messageboards and bash djs you used to work for.
I think Behrouz needs to come on this board and explain what happened between you and him so people know the REAL TRUTH!
Maybe tonight we'll fill him in on your little antics..
Plus if he was a shitty dj he would not be playing all around the world and have a record like this:

your night was like "oontz oontz chicka chicka oontz...oh hey, isn't that ali and sharam? hey guys!"
my night was like "can you play flo rida? (for the fourth time) why don't you play something good so we can all dance? (everybody else was already dancing but her) can you sign my friend's boobs? (her bachelorette party)"
but it sure beats the 9 to 5 grind!

did you seriously put the singing of the boobs in the negative category?
and it was "oh hey Ali, whattup" but not Sharam ;)
