So - for the ladies who are recently married, or currently planning - where did you (or do you plan) to get your shoes?
I was planning to go to My Glass Slipper in Old Town Alexandria next weekend with my coworker who's also planning her wedding & when she checked the website, they're closed (relocating) until the fall... Any suggestions? I'd prefer NoVA or DC, but am willing to drive to MD if necessary....
Thanks!!

DSW. No one really sees your shoes anyway.

you could also do online shopping. just pick a place with a good return policy and those free shipping labels. (like http://www.zappos.com) then you can order a bunch of shoes and return the ones that are not comfy.

:afterbuzz: Don't think we'll be going there... That's where my coworker ordered her dress from & had a horrible experience. (to the point that she called the designer of the dress she fell in love with to find out what other stores in the area carried their line so she could go anywhere BUT there to order it, but the next closest place to have it was in DE)
Amanda - thanks for the suggestion... I always have a really hard time with shoes though, and would rather try them on in person than have to deal with sending a lot back

Oh wow. My old HS Madrigal group has been using Lady Hamilton to find gowns to perform in for years. Nobody had any issues the three years I was involved, and as far as I know, the teacher LOVED that store because they always treated us right.
Heh.

I ordered mine from ninewest.com. I don't think it makes sense to have a pair of shoes you'll only wear once. Go whereever you normally buy your shoes.

Not to mention over paying for bridal shoes. I got a pair of off white sparkly strappy shoes at DSW and used them in three weddings including my own.
