Are there any shops still open that sell dnb vinyl in the area? I'll be in DC this weekend and would like to pick up some new tunes during my stay? If anyone can point me in the right direction, it would be greatly appreciated.

I know of a place in baltimore i have to wait till my friend comes to work to get the directions. " i could find it on my own but i have not idea what street its on". Also he said that there was a new place in baltimore as well. Besides that you could try and look in Yoshi Toshi but i dont think they have D&B

((I thought Yoshi Toshi shut down a while ago? Did they reopen or something??)) Last time I was in town I hit up the Dj Hut on P St. , and I think the other spot was called Capitol City Records which was near the U St. Metro stop... I don't think a trip to Baltimore is in the cards this time around.

YoshiToshi??? They've been closed for years.

Strangeland is the only store that's going to be worth your time, IMHO. www.strangelandrecords.com for info. It's in Annandale, VA.

Check out Strangeland Records. Its right outside of DC. Keep in mind that its the end of the year and most shops don't get new bits in til feb. They still have a quality tunes left over though. Here is the address:

7203 Columbia Pike (Second Floor)
Annandale, VA 22003
(703) 750-1571

I think DJ Hut closed down or something. And I wish Yoshitoshi was still open.

Yeah I heard that there was a fire at the Subway or Alberto's that was under the store. Its a shame because I love Alberto's and hate Jumbo Slice / Pizza Mart / Pizza Bolis. Anyways :offtopic:

Just in case no one else has mentioned it, there's a shop in VA called Strangeland Records that'll set you right.
Pretty sure DJ Hut closed down. As did Cap City (RIP).
Yoshi Toshi definitely closed a while back.

So, yeah, Strangeland.
:D

Yeah, we're open... 11am-10pm everyday of the week. Don't drop by after 7pm tonight though. We're having a metal show here and you won't have access to the vinyl section while the bands are playing. I hope you can check us out while you're in town!

i came to say yoshi was closed, but it seems that point has been driven home. so now i'm here to say they should open back up. nearly half of my records were purchased there. i loved that store. and the old satellite before they moved. now that was a good record shop.
