Ok, enough hating on breaks (even if they're from Florida lol) let's talk about the breaks we're liking right now. And let's try to elaborate why so :)

I'm really digging Wrongstar - Drink Til She's Beautiful... def a different, groovy and gritty tune. and you can't beat the sample with a stick... i can def see the people breakin it down to this tune

Also, DJ Quest feat Odissi - Break Me (Quest vs Pyramid Mix) - this one is just a dance floor killer, with the awesome energy infused beats and the pop-like vocals that chicks will cream themselves over, no ass will be standing still while this tune is riding the decks. A perfectly crafted tune for any floor

After seeing Ian post about it I checked out John Askew - Battery Acid (Force Mass Motion Remix). I love me some force mass motion tunage and this one does not disappoint. The wicked acid bassline weaves itself through the beats and creates a ravetastic tune. any fan of acid / rave breaks will thoroughly enjoy this tune which is a remix of a trance tune. but don't let that scare you away.

Also, 601 - Hit That Switch / Anti-Science Remix - I like both versions of this tune, tho I lean towards the cleaner Anti-science remix a little more. The original is very chunky with is basslines while the remix has a smoother feel without loosing any of the driving energy. The vocal sample is top notch (reminiscent of the vocal from twisted by dom almond with its infectious feel) and this tune will make every one want to shake their hinney.

Next, is Napt - Beats & Rhymes - this is breaks the way only Napt can do them... almost an infusion of banging house and booming breaks, the way these boys work a synth and set of toms is like no other producers out there... they also have a knack for putting awesome flows over the beats from talented mcs... they have one of the most distinct sounds in breaks... you cna always tell a napt song right away (much like a dj mutiny track or a rogue element tune). Another fine tune that helps complete the four part Contrast series on sub frequency funk... i highly suggest fans fo breaks check out all 4 parts as all the tunes have been impressive.

Lastly, 30HZ - Daddio (Vocal Mix) now this is just downright funky... if this doesnt' have you shakin your money maker you got no music soul haha. with yolanda handling the vocals in her usual groovy manners and the man 30hz laying down the beats this is a combo that can't be beat. seriously can't wait to hear his forthcoming album... this is just a taste from that and it speaks of big and bad ass things to come. Driving snyths push the breakdown into a minimal bumpin beat with the vocals layed ever so nicely over top. did i mention that its just downright funky? ok well it deserved another one :)
